Is it Winter?

I was hoping our first Winter in Arkansas would be a cold and snowy one. So far as of today Jan 24th it is 65 degrees! I really hope soon we can see some snow, but there are some ups and downs about it being so nice outside, we took Weldon out to play today and he loved it. He really loves being outside, and today was a good day for it. We got him a rocking chair a few months ago that matches the rest of ours on the front porch and he loves it. He looks so cute when he rocks in it.

Just another lazy Sunday

Sunday is definitely my favorite day of the week! We literally did NOTHING today. We stayed in our pjs all day long, layed around by the fire, and then had some playtime with little man. Weldon just realized today that he can walk backwards and its really funny, he started just walking everywhere backwards! He has the cutest personality. He is constantly learning something new. Tonight we went to 3 Flamingo's and had some yummy yogurt, I got Expresso, J got Cookies and Cream. We love that place, and Weldon got to have a few bites ;) he liked it too :) Can't believe his Birthday is in two weeks! I have a lot to do! We are doing a Red Wagon theme and it is gonna be super cute! Tonight we have just been sitting here by the fire listening to the heavy storm we have going on. I love the sound of Rain, for some reason storms make me calm. Weldon doesnt seem to mind the storms either, he has slept right through it. Here are some pictures from our day, hope you enjoy them!

My Special Picture

Well as most of you know Weldon was named after my Papa Weldon who was a huge influence in my life, until just two in a half years ago when he passed away. Naming our baby Weldon was somewhat a big deal to me, and of course I struggled with it because I didn't know what people would say. But when I heard the name Weldon I always felt like it was the BEST name, the COOLEST name, the most SPECIAL name in the world. Of course I have the best husband in the world who really understood what the name Weldon meant to me and didn't care one bit to carry on the name of such a great person. I'm so happy to have this beautiful little baby to always remind me of one of the greatest men I ever knew. Most of you have probably seen this picture but I'm not sure if you knew how special it was. This picture was taken when Weldon was 6 months old and the overalls he has on in the picture were my Papa Weldon's that he wore in 1942. We miss you Papa!

Date night w the Kiddo's!

We had a fun night with Braydon & Brinkley. Weldon always loves playing with them so much! We put Weldon's new Trampoline together and of course they all LOVED it! Weldon is a little to small for it right now but in a few months he will love it! He still gets on and tries to jump, it is so cute. The kids got some great use out of it tonight, it counts how many jumps you take and I think Braydon jumped about 600 times! I'm sure they will sleep good tonight!

Mommy Time!

Tonight I got some quality time with my little guy. We ate a very good dinner, some chicken noodle soup, and we both loved it! I just started teaching Weldon how to brush his teeth, and he loves it, he loves more of his new Watermelon tooth paste, but he did a great job trying to brush them all by himself.  After dinner of course we had bath time which is our fav :) and then some mommy weldon picture time! He is getting so used to mommy taking so many pictures of him that he is starting to pose for the Camera. I LOVE IT! Its the cutest thing. After bath time he got caught in the closet that he knows he is not supposed to be in, that explains this face

Wing Night!

Tonight we had Justin, Brit, and Sweet Sophea over for Wings! They were yummy! We had fun spending time with sweet little Sophea, and it is sweet watching what Weldon thinks about her. He is a little jealous when me and jimmy are holding her, he is just not sure what to think about her yet!

Once little man went to bed we had some sweet time with Miss Sophea. Everytime I held her I remember what it was like when Weldon was that little, which seems like yesterday! She has changed so much and it has only been two weeks!

Max was pretty fond of Sophea too!

Good Times!

So we just decided to move the furniture around in our living room, see it was to where EVERYTHING was baby proof, and since Weldon is starting to pick up on the word no we decided to change it up to where we can start teaching him what he can play with and what he can not. Just so you know Weldon is not just your average child, he is literally into EVERYTHING! You cannot leave him alone for a split second! Ya know being a first time parent we want him to learn right from wrong, but I have to say i have one STUBBORN child! I guess he gets that from his daddy ;) He is starting to really know what the word NO is but when he hears it, he kinda grins and goes on doing it again. I can tell that it is going to be a long road ahead. Even though it is kinda cute now, it won't be cute when they get older! So we gotta teach him sooner rather than later!

Mimi and Papa T came over for dinner the other night and Mimi helped give Weldon a bath. He loved it!

My silly boy has really been a great eater! He pretty much is eating every kind of food. Chicken, Pork, Green Beans, Potato's, Carrots, Spagetti, Broccoli, and believe it or not two of his FAV's are Spinach & Portabella Mushrooms. Looks like he is gonna take after his momma and be a great eater! Hope it sticks! His new thing is NOT wanting me to feed him anymore. He usually eats finger foods anyway but even if I try to feed him Yogurt he WON'T let me! He is now trying to feed himself with a spoon, and it can get awfully messy! He wants to feed himself but he doesnt want to hold the spoon once its in his mouth. Lol

They grow way to fast!

Its crazy thinking back on time, back when it was just Jimmy and I. I don't think we can remember life without sweet little Weldon. But now that a year has gone by it seems like just yesterday we were checking in the hospital getting ready for our lives to change forever. Now I think back and would do anything to freeze time in this very second. I was just looking back on the last 11 months and thought I would share it will you all!

So Crazy to watch our little guy grow and grow to be a big boy, so sad to see it happen so fast, but so happy to make lots and lots of more wonderful family memories!

Dinner Date!

Had a dinner date tonight with some good friends. Cheryl made Chicken Spagetti. Weldon loved it! Cheryl and David got lots of play time with little man and he enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for dinner guys :)

11 month update!

Weldon is 11 months old today! He is getting so big, so fast. To rolling over his first time at 2 months, to sitting up on his own at 5 months, scooting at 5 months, to saying his first word "Momma" at 6 months, to crawling at 6 months, getting his two bottom teeth at 6 months, pulling up at 7 months, saying "dada" at 8 months, first steps at 9 months, top two teeth at 10 months,and walking at 10 months. Something is always happening with our little guy, it is such an awesome thing to be a parent and seeing your baby grow into a little man :) Now he is 11 months, has 6 teeth, says 4 words, and runs all over the place. Weldon's most FAVORITE thing to do is to take a bath. He LOVES the water so much! Bathtime is such a fun time around here!

Toys! Toys! Toys!

Santa brought lots of toys for Weldon his first Christmas! And Weldon has lots of fun playing with all of them. Being a first time parent, we were a little overwhelmed with ALL the toys Weldon got for Christmas, between Santa, Mom and Dad, Grandparents, and Aunts Uncles and Cousins, he will never run out of stuff to do! So now our living room and his bedroom pretty much stay a permanent play room :) This is just another Saturday morning at home playing with some of his favorite toys.

Cousins!

We love all our sweet nieces and nephew! And they all love Weldon! We just recently had a new little cousin come into the family, sweet little Sophea. Her and Weldon are only 9 months a part so I see a lot of great memories being made there in the years to come. Weldon's older cousins Braydon & Brinkley love to play with him as well. He calls Braydon bubba and isnt really quite sure of Miss Priss yet :) They are all so sweet together.

My Pride & Joy

Well I have finally had time to sit down and start this blogging thing. I really just wanted certain family members to be able to keep up with us and see what is happening in the Castrodale Corner :) We are officially all moved back to Arkansas, and have lots of family and friends around to spend time with. Soon enough we will be making our rounds from Ohio to California to see the rest of our large family we are so blessed to have. Weldon is growing so fast, he will be 11 months old on Jan 7. Don't really know how I feel about that, what i do know is time flies way to fast! We had a wonderful Christmas! Lots of Food, Fun, and Sleeping :) Here are some pictures of Our Holiday Adventures.
